John Campbell’s Twilight

What if technology advances so much that machines can make our lives as carefree as possible, taking care of us and themselves? And what if in the course of centuries humans lose their curiosity as to how these machines function because we got so used to them – just like very few of us (care to) know how to use a flint stone if they can use a lighter instead? What if we become so accustomed to googling for any type of information that at some point it becomes superfluous to actually remember  it?
